Does the rear kit work with the factory electric parking brake?
Yes. The rear 4-piston kit is engineered around the Explorer ST’s factory EPB module — no FORScan coding, no extra harness, no aftermarket actuator. Bolt it on, bleed the system, and the parking brake works exactly as it did from the factory.
Will my current wheels clear the rotor?
The 380 mm rotors clear factory and most aftermarket 19" wheels. The 405 mm front rotors need a 20" wheel or larger. The configurator greys out incompatible rotor sizes once you tell it your wheel diameter.
Will this fit a 2020 Police Interceptor or non-ST Explorer?
No. Our kits are sized for the ST’s knuckle and hub geometry. Other Explorer trims have different geometry and will not work without modification.
Do you have kits for other vehicles?
Not yet. We focus exclusively on the 2020–2026 Explorer ST — one platform, deeply engineered.
What’s actually included in the kit price?
Calipers, two-piece floating rotors, OE-fit brackets, stainless braided lines, and every piece of hardware required to bolt the kit on. You don’t need to add lines, brackets, or hardware to your cart.
Can I get a caliper or wheel color you don’t list?
Yes — both configurators have a "Request a custom color" tile. Upload a swatch or paint code and we’ll quote it. Custom colors add lead time and are quoted per build.
Can I save a build and come back to it?
Builds save to your browser automatically when you click "Save build" on the review screen. Visit /build/saved to see them all.
Do I need to add brake fluid?
High-quality DOT 4 fluid is recommended for any BBK install. We don’t ship fluid in the box because it ships separately as a hazardous good — pick a name brand at any auto parts store.
How long does install take?
About 2–3 hours per axle for someone comfortable with brake work. Most customers do front and rear in an afternoon.
Do I need any special tools?
Standard metric sockets, a torque wrench, a brake bleeder. The included install guide lists every torque value.
How do I bed in the new pads?
See the bedding-in page. Short version: 8–10 hard slowdowns from 60–10 mph without coming to a complete stop, then a cool-down lap. Don’t park on the pads while they’re still hot.
What pads can I run with the calipers?
The forged monobloc calipers use the same pad shape as several forged OE applications, so you’re not locked into one supplier. We ship with street ceramic pads as standard; track pads are available as an add-on.
What’s the warranty on the calipers and rotors?
Two years on calipers, one year on rotors. Coverage doesn’t apply to track use or to kits that show signs of impact damage.
Can I return the kit if I change my mind?
All sales are final. Every kit is built to your spec — caliper, rotor size, finish, brand — so we can’t resell a returned unit. The only exceptions are manufacturing defects (covered by the 1-year warranty), freight damage, and order errors on our end. You can cancel within 24 hours of placing the order for a full refund — after that, production has usually started. See the full Returns Policy for details.
What if a part is damaged in shipping?
Photo the damage before you sign for the freight, then email us within 24 hours. We’ll file the carrier claim and ship a replacement.
